OTHER SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The Scott County Community Foundation has numerous scholarships to aid in the continuing of education. For more information, please call the Foundation office or talk to your guidance counselor.

  Patricia Bacala
2010 recipient of the Dale McNeely Scholarship, worth $10,000. Patricia is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Emmanuel and Bernardita Bacala of Scottsburg. She plans to attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to major in applied biology.
 

Evan Comer

2010 recipient of the Mary Elizabeth-Virgil S. Miller Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000. Evan is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of Russ and Bonnie Comer of Scottsburg. He plans to attend Butler University to major in political science.

 

Lindsey Denk

2010 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Indiana University Southeast Scholarship, worth $1,300. Lindsey resides in Scottsburg and is majoring in nursing.

 

Phillip Dold

2010 recipient of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Educational Award, worth $500. Phillip is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of Phil and Sharon Dold of Scottsburg. He plans to attend Hanover College to major in computer science.

 

Lisann Goodin

2010 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild Brunton-Mumford Memorial Scholarship, worth up to $5,000. Lisann is a graduate of Austin High School and the daughter of Anthony and Kelly Goodin of Austin. She plans to attend Indiana University Southeast to major in speech pathology/therapy.

 

Adam Johnson

2010 recipient of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Educational Award, worth $500. Adam is a graduate of Austin High School and the son of John and Candice Johnson of Austin. He will major in computer science at Indiana State University.

 

James Jones

2010 recipient of the Alice and Gerald Miner Memorial Scholarship, worth $2,000, and the Epply-Shields Memorial Scholarship, worth $3,271.  James is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of Steven Jones of Lexington. He plans to attend Hanover College to major in mathematics with certification in secondary education.

 

Mitchell Koestel

2010 recipient of the Timothy Michael Wolf Memorial Scholarship, worth $5,000. Mitch is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of Bob and Tracy Koestel. He will attend Purdue University to major in hospitality and tourism management.

 

Micah Konkler

2010 recipient of the Christie Crafton Memorial Scholarship, worth $350. Micah is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of John and Tina Konkler. He will attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in education and coaching.

 

Jeramy Powers

2010 recipient of the Carol Pettit Scholarship, worth $254. Jeramy is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the son of Denise and Aaron Powers of Scottsburg. He will major in secondary education at Indiana University Southeast.

 

Clifton Cole Rice

2010 recipient of the Mary Elizabeth-Virgil S. Miller Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000. Cole is a graduate of Austin High School and the son of Clifton and Tammy Rice of Austin. He will attend Indiana University to major in political science.

 

Shelby St. Clair

2010 recipient of the Walter S. and Clarice (White) Bridgewater Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000. Shelby is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Mike and Becky St. Clair. She plans to attend Indiana University Southeast to major in education.
