Family: A lifelong resident of Scott County, in 2007 I was lucky enough to marry Andrea Stephens (daughter of Jay and Dana) from Austin. Andrea and I live in Lexingon, on the family farm, and in the same house that both my grandfather, Charles Boley, and mother, Cindy (Boley) Gibson, were raised. Althought Andrea misses being close to the interstate, when something breaks, she does consider herself fortunate that my dad, Mitch, lives just a few miles away. She's figured out that the repair is usually made a little faster (and probably better) when she calls my dad and doesn't have to wait on me! Andrea and I have two daughters, Macy and Mya, who make us laugh daily, and remind us even more frequenlty of how much the Lord has blessed us.
Education: I'm a gradate of Scottsburg High School (2002), and received my B.S. in Business Administration (2006) and Master of Arts in Teaching (2007) both from the University of Louisville. The majority of my education today, however, can be attributed to Google searching, book reading, mistake making, or cartoon watching.
Hobbies, Interests, and Life: By nature, I enjoy learning, working with people, and using technology to better communicate and solve problems. My favorite moments in life are those with family and serving at Westport Baptist and Wonder Valley Christian Camps. I currently lead small group at Austin Christian Church, serve on the Englishton Park Board of Directors, and am employed as a Business and Technology Instructor at Scottsburg High School.
Why did you join the board? When provided the opportunity to both serve the community and learn from experienced and passionate individuals of this community, joining the Scott County Community Foundation Board of Directors made perfect sense!
