Austin Elementary Students Learn Literacy Skills Through Grant

Austin Elementary School kindergarten student Jesse Hyde reads a book from a literacy bag. The Scott County Community Foundation awarded a grant for almost $1,800 to Stacy Payne’s class for a literacy-enriched experience. Each backpack has a different theme with a storybook and materials to help with literacy and encourage lifelong reading habits.
