New Intern Joins Staff

A grant from Lilly Endowment has provided the opportunity for the Scott County Community Foundation to hire a new intern for administrative support. Anna McGuire is currently attending Ivy Tech in Sellersburg part-time to finish her pre-requisites for radiology. She will assist with any administrative duties and office support activities while working for the Foundation.

Anna is a 2010 graduate of Scottsburg High School where she was actively involved in FFA competing in horse judging competitions. She enjoys riding horses and taking care of the family’s Hereford cattle and Kiko goats. She is the newest committee member for the 4-H Horse and Pony Club, coaching the Horse Judging Team as well as the Drill Team. Anna is the daughter of Jr. and Joan McGuire of Underwood.

“I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to work as an intern for the Foundation” said Anna. “I am looking forward to meeting new people who are focused on helping our community.”

The Community Foundation Internships (CFI) program is part of Lilly’s goals to help build healthy Indiana community foundations and to provide college students with real-life work experiences.

“We are very pleased to have Anna join our staff,” said Executive Director Jaime Toppe. “With the celebration of our 15-year anniversary this year, she will be a great asset to help with our activities and programs.”
