Scott County Community Foundation grants committee member Melissa Woods presents a grant for $5,000 to Gleaners Food Bank Youth Programs Coordinator Hope Pascoe. The grant will be used for the BackSacks program, which provides food to children every weekend during the school year. It was awarded during the Foundation?s 2016 Community Grants Program and is made possible by several unrestricted funds. ?One of my students has to prepare some of their own meals due to parents? work schedules,? reported a school coordinator. ?Having this food available ? and it being easy to prepare ? has really helped this low income, two-working-parents household.?
