Austin Alumni Association President Ishmael White accepts a check for $2,350 from Scott County Community Foundation board member Jami Parks. The grant was awarded from the AHS Alumni Education Fund at the Foundation and will be used to provide scholarships to students. The Alumni Association has a fundraising goal to increase their endowment fund to $100,000. Donations are being matched 50 cents for every dollar donated through a grant opportunity from Lilly Endowment. Donations can be made in honor or memory of a loved one or class/classmate.
