Scottsburg Kiwanis Club President Al Riggle presents a check for $1,000 to United Way of Scott County Executive Director Nancy Riley. The grant was awarded from the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This initiative provides free books for children from birth through age five, mailed directly to their homes every month. United Way and the Community Foundation brought this program to Scott County eight years ago to increase early childhood literacy. There are currently 934 children who are receiving books in Scott County, with 1,369 who ?graduated? when they turned five. To register your child, please visit www.imaginationlibrary.com.
