Scottsburg Kiwanis Club community service committee member Chris Wakeman awards a check for $600 to Scott County CASA Executive Director Lea Ann Callico, center, and CASA Volunteer Coordinator Lisa Kiser. The grant was awarded from the Kiwanis Club?s endowment fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to provide support for Lisa?s newly created position, which will train and support volunteers of abused and neglected children in Scott County. CASA will host meet-and-greet sessions for those who want to learn more about CASA, on Nov. 3, Nov. 8 and Dec. 16, all from 9 a.m. until noon. CASA also has a volunteer training session that will begin soon, and more information can be found by calling CASA at 752-4748.
