Matt Morris,
2007 Graduate, Wabash University |
"This semester was one of the most challenging of my college career, due to the senior comprehensive exams. However, after a great deal of studying and preparation, I was able to pass both portions of the exam, written and oral. Once I received my senior comprehensive grade of “pass” (in March), it was all downhill from there until graduation.
My classes this past semester were great; I had two psychology classes, social psychology and research methods and statistics. Furthermore, I had one biology class, microbiology, which was one of my favorite courses throughout the duration of my college experience, due to the material being covered and the opportunity to carry-out my own experiment in the lab. The final class that I took was education 101, which was a very fun and interesting class. In this class, I was able to observe all different levels of the educational process, elementary, middle, and high, and view how students interacted and grew throughout this process.
From an extracurricular perspective, I participated in intramural softball, which, though we lost in the first round of the tournament, was a lot of fund. Also, the Wabash Christian Men put on its 5th annual lock-in for the youth of Montgomery County, and I was able to volunteer my fourth (and final) time. It was very rewarding seeing the fun the children had through the lessons and activities that were provided.
Overall, this semester was one of the better ones that I have had while at Wabash College, due to the classes, professors and activities."
