I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, traveling and waterskiing. Our family is busy with our son's sports activities. My husband and I are members of the Hanover United Methodist Church and have recently started attending the Fairview Christian Church in Underwood.
I also enjoy many volunteer opportunities through work, including serving on the Education Committee as Chairperson for Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce, volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Scott County corporate mentoring program, board member for Communities That Care, past volunteer for Worth the Wait sexual abstinence program, Reality Store, United Way of Scott County Day of Caring, etc.
What do you like about the Scott County Community Foundation?
I love the idea that it is "forever." We think long-term, past what just affects us today, but will affect our children and grandchildren tomorrow. I enjoy being able to help so many in the community, and to be a part of exciting programs, such as our Youth Grantmaking Council. It feels good to be able to work with so many great people in the community, whether it is volunteering for other nonprofit organizations or coordinating Foundation activities through the many helpful people we work with! |
