Students with the Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council (YGC), a program of the Scott County Community Foundation, recently collected 404 items and $230 for the Scott County Community Clearinghouse. The collection was part of the Souper Bowl of Caring, a nationwide effort for churches, schools and the community to collect money and food near Super Bowl weekend, in order to fight hunger and poverty in local communities. This is the fourth year the YGC has participated. The Clearinghouse assisted 615 families in January. Numerous items were also donated from Multi-Color Corp. employees and members of the Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church.
