The Scott County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the distribution of the Scott County veteran?s biographical history books. This special book honors 500 Scott County veterans who have served during war and peace, and includes special stories of interest about veterans and the Prisoner of War camp in Austin.

Those who pre-ordered the special commemorative edition will be able to pick up books at the Scott County Heritage Center and Museum on Tuesday, May 29 between 2-6 p.m. The museum is at 1050 S. Main St., Scottsburg. Refreshments will be served, and a limited number of additional veteran?s books will be available for purchase for $50 each. The museum will also have a special military display on hand in honor of the event as well as Memorial Day weekend. Attendees are also invited to visit the ?war room? upstairs at the museum.

For those who are unable to pick up their books at this time, the books will be available at the Scott County Community Foundation office, 60 N. Main St., Scottsburg, during regular business hours. Those who paid for shipping will have books mailed directly from the publisher.
