Kiwanis grant to Imagination Library 001

Scottsburg Kiwanis Club President Al Riggle presents a check for $1,000 to United Way of Scott County Executive Director Nancy Riley. The grant was awarded from the Kiwanis Club’s endowment fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Also shown is Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director Jaime Toppe. United Way and the Community Foundation have partnered to bring the Imagination Library to Scott County, which provides free books every month to children from birth until age five. There are currently about 380 children enrolled in the program, and the only requirement is that a child resides in Scott County. To register your child online, visit www.imaginationlibrary.com. For more information on how to sponsor a child for only $25 a year, please call 752-2057 or 752-2586, or stop in the office at 60 N. Main St., Scottsburg.
