Forever Tree Society Memorial and Tribute Program

Like your everyday actions, your charitable gifts have an impact on others. They feed the hungry, educate our children, preserve history and beautify our community.

Perhaps you have considered a charitable legacy to continue your philanthropy beyond your lifetime, to have your family name remembered and the fruits of your giving benefiting generations forever.

Most of us, if given the chance, would like to leave a lasting legacy to show that our life, or the life of someone we love or admire, has made a difference in society. In some way, a contribution to an important work or cause will benefit the lives of others for years to come. In the past, only a privileged few could create such legacies. But today, through our Forever Tree Society, many more of us can participate and experience the satisfaction that comes from being able to make a difference for generations.

The Blossom Fund

About the Blossom Fund

All donors who give an unrestricted gift of $500 or more honoring or memorializing a significant individual, organization or business will establish a Blossom Fund. A gold lettered nameplate will be placed with the name of the honoree in the Foundation’s Board Room and will be featured in Foundation publications. Subsequent gifts can be made in any amount at any time, adding to your goal of reaching the Willow or Oak funds. Revenue from these gifts will be used to support the mission of the Foundation.

Although no additional gifts are required, donors are encouraged to consider future gifts (perhaps annually) so that the Forever Tree Society’s impact will continue to grow in Scott County by reaching the Willow Fund. And what better birthday or holiday gift for that special someone!

The Willow Fund

About the Willow Fund

When gifts to the Blossom Fund reach $10,000, or a donor makes an unrestricted gift of $10,000 or more, a Willow Fund is created. A Willow Fund is a “stand alone” unrestricted endowment fund. At this level a portion of annual earnings are granted in the name of the honoree each year during our grants cycle.

Subsequent gifts can be made to the fund in any amount at any time. A gold lettered nameplate will be placed with the name of the honoree in the Foundation’s Board Room and will be featured in Foundation publications. In addition, all donors who have a Willow Fund will receive complimentary lifetime tickets for all Foundation events and meetings.

Although no additional gifts are required to keep any Willow Funds active, donors are encouraged to consider future gifts (perhaps annually) so that the Forever Tree Society’s impact will continue to grow in Scott County by reaching the Oak Fund.

The Oak Fund

About the Oak Fund

When gifts to a Willow Fund reach $50,000, or when a donor makes an unrestricted gift of $50,000 or more, an Oak Fund is created. A portion of annual earnings are granted in the name of the honoree each year during our grants cycle.

A gold lettered nameplate will be placed with the name of the honoree in the Foundation’s Board Room and will be featured in Foundation publications. All donors will receive complimentary lifetime tickets for all Foundation events and meetings. In addition, the earnings from your fund will support a specific charitable project in the community.
