Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director Jaime Toppe and Board Chair Lynda Phillips present a check for $5,000 to United Way of Scott County Board President JoAnne Juett and Executive Director Nancy Riley. The grant is from the Community Enrichment Fund and will be used for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library initiative. Both the Community Foundation and United Way have partnered to bring the program to Scott County, which provides free books for children from birth until age 5, mailed directly to their homes. United Way has a matching grant opportunity from the Indiana Association of United Ways, due to the generosity of Lilly Endowment, and the $5,000 grant will be matched dollar for dollar. To register your child to receive free books, please visit www.imaginationlibrary.com or pick up a brochure at numerous locations in the community. You may also stop in the Community Foundation office at 60 N. Main St., Scottsburg. To send a tax-deductible contribution to sponsor children, please mail to: United Way of Scott County, PO Box 227; Scottsburg, IN 47170. Call 752-2057 or 752-2586 for more information.
