Eleven youth from the Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council (“YGC”) attended the 2013 Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana leadership conference at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis. At “Engage Your Inner Superhero,” students networked with other youth from across the state who are also involved in giving and serving in their communities. They learned about branding, fundraising, leaving legacies and more. Shown are, from left to right: Caleb White, Tyler White, Carmen Boley, Brandon Boswell, Emma Waskom, Haley Mullins, Lindsey Boswell, Braxton Soloe, Lyndie Foster, Kevin Jentzen and Justice Gabbard. The YGC, a program of the Scott County Community Foundation, is currently accepting applications for membership on its Community Service Committee, which meets monthly to complete service projects. It is open to any student in grades 5-12.
