Scott County Kiwanis Club board members Zach Manton, Ryan Payne, Jennifer Coward and Scott Zellers present a check for $500 to CASA of Scott County Executive Director Kelly Shelhamer. The grant was awarded from the Kiwanis Club’s endowment fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to support CASA’s mission of providing a voice for children who have been abused or neglected. CASA served 127 children and helped 73 children find permanency through reunification, adoption, or guardianship in 2025. They have 18 active volunteers and five staff working with the children they serve. The Kiwanis Club’s mission is to improve our community by improving our kids, and has been serving the kids of Scott County since 1961.
