Scott County Community Foundation (SCCF) is reminding donors that time is running out to take advantage of its 2026 matching gift program. Approximately 64 percent of the program’s $100,000 in matching funds has been used, leaving $35,800 available.

Through the program, SCCF adds 50 cents for every dollar donated to an eligible endowment fund. For example, a $100 gift can become $150. Contributions must be made by December 31, 2026, or before the remaining matching funds are depleted. Each fund may receive up to $5,000 in matching dollars. Nonprofit organizations and schools are eligible to participate.

“We’ve been encouraged by the generosity we’ve seen so far, and there is still an opportunity for more people to take part,” said SCCF Executive Director Jaime Toppe. “With only a few months left, a gift now can go further for the organizations and causes our neighbors care about. Because these funds are permanent, that generosity will continue benefiting Scott County for years to come.”

Endowment funds at SCCF support a wide range of local priorities, including education, youth, older adults, health, community beautification, agriculture, faith, arts and culture, and historic preservation. Distributions from these funds provide ongoing support for the community.
