Scott County Community Foundation board member Janie Alexander, far left, presents a check for $348.98 to Austin High School art teacher Gary Schotter, Art Club members, and Principal Dr. Ryan Herald. The grant was awarded from the Gladys A. Berna Education Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation. The funds will be used to purchase display rails to showcase student art work. The Gladys A. Berna Education Fund was established to honor the legacy of “Miss Gladys,” who taught in Scott County for 38 years.
