CASA of Scott County was awarded a grant for $10,000 from the Scott County Community Foundation during our?2016 Community Grants Program. The funds will be used for staff to recruit and support volunteers, which represent the best interest of children in court proceedings. The grant was made possible from several unrestricted funds. Shown are Community Foundation Board Chairman L.L. Lowry, Community Foundation Grants Committee member Heather White, CASA board members Cindy Watts and Julie Thomas, CASA Executive Director Kelly Shelhamer, CASA Board President Carol Dunn and board member Georganna Elliott, a former CASA child, Treasure Cole, and CASA Volunteer Coordinator Lisa Kiser. ?There is currently a waiting list for volunteers.
