What do Rosie the Riveter, bell bottoms, big hair and iPads have in common? Nothing, except they represent different generations and all have made a lasting impression in society! ?In keeping with the spirit of celebrating the impact that past and current generations will have on future generations, the Scott County Community Foundation is hosting a Generations-themed dinner.
This fun-filled event will take place Saturday, August 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mid-America Science Park, 821 S. Lake Road South, Scottsburg. Attendees are encouraged (but not required!) to dress up in your favorite generation, or even decorate your table with items from your favorite era. There will be generational quizzes and music in this night to remember. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, best decorated table, person traveled the farthest, most generations in attendance and more.
A live auction will also be held, with Ryan Payne providing the auctioneer service. Items include Disney World tickets, Belle of Louisville cruise, Horseshoe Casino package and much more.

Tickets are available for $15 per person, and reservations are required by Friday, Aug.? 15. All attendees will be entered in a drawing for a free will preparation at a local attorney of their choice.
Current sponsors include Morgan Foods, Scott County School District 2, Scott Memorial Hospital and United Way of Scott County. Sponsors are still being sought for the event. The Scott County Community Foundation has awarded over $2.9 million in grants to the community since it was first established in 1997. This has been made possible due to the generosity of donors in the community. If you would like to see and hear about the impact that these visionary donors are having on future generations through their actions of today, you are welcome to attend the dinner.
