Scott County Community Foundation Board Secretary Heather White presents a grant for $200 to Scott County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kelly Dulaney. The grant was awarded from the Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund at the Community Foundation. Phil Martin was the first executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, and helped lead efforts to establish the Community Foundation. The grant and other community sponsorships were used to send 14 children to BizCamp, a one-week experience for Scott County students ages 9-12. At the Junior Achievement Center in Louisville, the youth learned the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace.
