Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kelly Dulaney accepts grants from Scott County Community Foundation Board Chairman Josh Stigdon. A grant for $1,444 was awarded from the Chamber?s educational endowment fund, and a grant for $100 was awarded from the Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund. Phil Martin was the first executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, and helped lead efforts to establish the Community Foundation. The grants and other community sponsorships were used to send 37 children to BizCamp, a one-week experience for Scott County students ages 9-12. At the Junior Achievement Center in Louisville, the youth learned the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace.
