Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director presents a check for $1,365 to Clark Chapel Cemetery Treasurer Charles Murphy and President Karen Bottomley. This is the first grant awarded from the Clark Chapel Cemetery Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation. The fund was established in 2010 to provide maintenance and preservation on the historic cemetery located in Underwood. The community was settled in the late 1700s and early 1800s, and the cemetery includes unmarked graves beginning as early as 1800.
