Scott County Community Foundation board member Chris Routt, second from right, presents a check for $2,338 to City of Scottsburg Parks Board President Rick Cozart, Mayor Terry Amick, and Parks Director Jerry Asher. The grant was awarded from the Scottsburg Beautification Committee Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation. This fund was established through a bequest from Otis Collier and is used to provide ongoing maintenance at the Otis Collier Memorial Garden at Lake Iola. Otis was a long-time employee of Morgan Foods. He was known for his love of gardening and his beautiful rose gardens. Upon his death, the Scottsburg Beautification Committee created this garden in his memory.
