Throughout our modern history, pop culture has had a huge impact on society. From the clothing and entertainment to attitudes and ideas, we can easily identify a certain era by a song or outfit. To help celebrate the impact that past and current generations will have on future generations, the Scott County Community Foundation is hosting its third-annual Generations dinner.

This fun-filled event will take place Friday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Mid-America Science Park, 821 S. Lake Road South, Scottsburg. Attendees are encouraged (but not required!) to dress up in your favorite time period, or even decorate your table with items from your favorite era. There will be generational quizzes and music in this night to remember. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, best decorated table, youngest and oldest in attendance.

A live auction will also be held, with Ryan and Stacy Payne providing the auctioneer services. Items include Disney World tickets, Horseshoe Casino package, Story Inn hotel stay, sports tickets and memorabilia, and much more.

Country Classics will provide dinner, which features cavatina, chicken cordon bleu, cheesy potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls and dessert. Tickets are available for $20 per person, and reservations are required by Friday, Aug. 5.
Sponsors are still being sought for the event.

Current sponsors include Morgan Foods, Scott Memorial Hospital and United Way of Scott County. Sponsorships are available for $200 and include a table for six, recognition, as well as well as entrance in a drawing for $200 donation to any local nonprofit or the endowment fund of your choice at the Foundation.

The Scott County Community Foundation has awarded over $3 million in grants to the community since it was first established in 1997. This has been made possible due to the generosity of donors in the community.

To reserve your tickets or sponsor a table, please mail to the Community Foundation at PO Box 25; Scottsburg, IN 47170. You may also call 752-2057 or email
