In an effort to assist nonprofits with capacity building, the Scott County Community Foundation is hosting a new virtual series, Inspired Moments. Many organizations cite training as a need but rarely have a plan to address it due to cost and scheduling. The Inspired Moments program will offer quick training offerings for nonprofit board and staff to view at your convenience. Learn more, at your own pace, with online training sessions provided by Tobi Herron with Inspire Motives LLC. The training will be short, direct, and includes tools you can immediately put to use in your organization.

The fourth session in the series will be on fundraising. Have you wondered how you can be better at fundraising? Are you looking for tools to help you figure out what you should do or assess how you are doing? Do you ?Know Your Numbers?? This training helps you answer these questions and includes a reminder of what real life fundraising looks like for Boards. There are also tools to help everyone have better conversations and make smarter decisions. The training comes with two Excel-based tools plus a BoardSource-derived strategy toolkit.

The last session the board-staff partnership will be released in August. The previous sessions on strategic planning, board of directors roles/responsibilities, and board recruitment are also still available to be viewed. In addition, Inspire Motives will offer 10 sessions to the community where you can meet one-on-one in a 30-minute Zoom to ask questions specific to your organization. These sessions are first-come, first-served and will be offered through July. To register, contact Tobi at tobi@inspiremotives.com.

?Our Board of Directors is pleased to continue our nonprofit workshops for the sixth year,? said Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director Jaime Toppe. ?Because we realize everyone has busy schedules, we are offering the series virtually this year. This is a great opportunity for staff and board members to learn at your leisure, or even incorporate into your board meetings!?

There is no cost to attend, and if you would like to register for the sessions, please call 812-752-2057 or email info@scottcountyfoundation.org.
