Scott County Community Foundation Board Treasurer Shari Baumann presents a check for $355 to Scottsburg High School business teacher Ian Schlosser and students JJ Montgomery and Carly Deaton. The grant was awarded from the Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund and will be used to support the Maverick Challenge at Scottsburg and Austin high schools. Maverick Challenge is a business planning competition where students can win cash prizes for their ideas. The competition will be held this spring. The Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund’s purpose is to support programs and projects that increase financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills for students.
