Kiwanis Club of Scott County President-Elect Rev. Timothy Mohon, middle, and President Al Riggle present a check for $1,444 to United Way of Scott County Executive Director Nancy Riley. The grant was awarded from the Kiwanis Club of Scott County Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This initiative provides free books for children from birth through age five. There are currently 884 children receiving books every month and 1,623 children who graduated from the program when they turned five. Since the program was established by United Way and the Community Foundation in 2013, over 80,000 books have been mailed to Scott County children.
