Stacey Turner, Steve Broady, and Craig Broady present a check for $300 to Missy and Steve Sadler with Ride for a Cure. This is the first-ever grant awarded from the Joyce Lowry Broady Memorial Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation. The permanent endowment fund was created in Joyce’s memory to assist local residents who are battling cancer with expenses related to their treatment. Ride for a Cure has assisted over one hundred local residents with funding since its creation in 2007. This year’s event will be held Sept. 20 at Mid-America Science Park.
“Joyce’s family truly appreciates the opportunity to help another cancer patient,” shared Steve Broady.
