Scott County Community Foundation Board Treasurer Chris Routt, second from right, presents a check for $475 to Scottsburg High School teacher Jennifer Morris and her intro to business class. The grant was awarded from the Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and will be used to support Maverick Challenge for students in both school districts. Maverick Challenge is a business planning competition where students can win cash prizes for their ideas. The Philip Glenn Martin Memorial Fund’s purpose is to support programs and projects that increase financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills for students. Phil Martin was the first executive director of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce.
