NYAP grant from Lions Club 001

 

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) Regional Director Amanda Davidson receives a check for $150 from Scottsburg Lions Club Treasurer Scott Murphy. The grant was made possible from the Scottsburg Lions Club/D.Q. Reid Memorial Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation, and will be used to purchase Christmas toys for children in foster care. NYAP is a private non-profit social services agency, serving special needs youth and their families within the local communities. The agency licenses foster homes, parenting services and uses positive, adult role models to provide advocate services to foster children. NYAP?s commitment is based on the strong belief that a child?s family and community are the best resources in providing for the positive growth and development of our youth. They are based in Scott County and serve surrounding counties. To donate to the Scottsburg Lions Club/D.Q. Reid Memorial Fund to support charitable projects in our community, mail your tax-deductible contribution to the Scott County Community Foundation, PO Box 25; Scottsburg, IN 47170. You may also stop in the office at 60 N. Main St., Scottsburg. All donations will be matched $0.50 for every $1 due to a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc.
