Scott County Community Foundation is pleased to announce a new matching gift program to encourage charitable giving and strengthen the community for generations to come.
Through the program, SCCF will provide 50 cents for every dollar donated, up to $100,000 in total matching funds, to eligible endowment funds. The gifts must be made between January 1 and December 31, 2026, or until matching funds are fully depleted. Each fund may receive up to $5,000 in matching dollars. Nonprofit organizations and schools are eligible to participate.
“When donors give, they are making a lasting investment in Scott County,” said Community Foundation Executive Director Jaime Toppe. “This matching program increases the impact of every gift while building permanent resources that will support our community well into the future.”
Endowment funds at SCCF support a wide range of community priorities, including education, youth, older adults, health, community beautification, agriculture, faith, arts and culture, historical preservation, and more. Earnings from these funds provide ongoing support to meet local needs today and tomorrow.
“Endowments are a powerful way to ensure Scott County remains strong, healthy and vibrant,” said Toppe, “This matching opportunity makes it easier than ever for individuals, families, and organizations to leave a lasting legacy in Scott County.”
Since awarding its first community grants totaling $50,000 in 1997, the Scott County Community Foundation has been Scott County’s partner for positive change. Scholarships and grants totaling almost $7 million have made it possible for local students to attend college and for the diverse needs of our neighbors to be served. In addition, $14.5 million has been funneled to Scott County through the Community Foundation through the generosity of Lilly Endowment Inc.
