Scott County Community Foundation board member Carmen Boley presents a check for $316.02 to Vienna-Finley Elementary School teacher Lindsey Cazares and her fifth grade class. The grant was awarded from the Gladys A. Berna Education Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation. The funds will be used to purchase three Sphero Mini Kids Coding Activity Kits. Each kit allows students to program a Sphero Mini robot using block-based coding, while engaging in hands-on challenges such as building mazes, designing obstacle courses, and completing structured STEM activities. The Gladys A. Berna Education Fund was established to honor the legacy of “Miss Gladys,” who taught in Scott County for 38 years.
