The Scott County Vision Plan, a community development tool, has been released by the Scott County Community Foundation. Funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., the plan?s goal is to bring together government, nonprofits, and community organizations to provide a strategic direction for future planning efforts. It builds upon the results of the Forward Together Community Assets and Challenges 2020, a community needs assessment created through a partnership with Indiana University Southeast. The community?s input through workshops, surveys, and social media feedback was essential in developing this plan.

The Scott County Vision Plan identifies top priorities in the areas of education, economy, health and wellness, housing, arts and recreation, and coordination. Collaboration among multiple entities will allow Scott County to outline solutions and successfully implement strategies to move Scott County forward. For those in the community who are interested in any of the priority areas, you are asked to contact the Community Foundation to get involved.

The full plan and issue briefs are available at www.scottcountyfoundation.org/community-initiatives/scott-county-vision-plan/. It was created by Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group.
