Members of the Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council (?YGC?) helped mark canned goods recently at the Scott County Community Clearinghouse. The service project was in celebration of National Philanthropy Day, recognized on Nov. 15, to honor those who give their time, talent and treasure to the community. The YGC is a program of the Scott County Community Foundation. Applications are accepted year-round for youth in grades 5-12 who would like to serve on the Community Service Committee, which completes service projects every month.
