The Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council (?YGC?) invites anyone who enjoys a delicious meal to come to Jeeves & Company for a fundraiser. This is the first time the YGC has attempted an event like this, which will have its youth members serving customers for tips.

The special event will be held Tuesday, March 12 from 5-8 p.m. Those who are interested in having YGC members serve them should inform Jeeves & Company staff to be seated in their special section. All tips will be given to the YGC, which is a program of the Scott County Community Foundation.

Menu choices will consist of London broil, bourbon pecan chicken, pasta primavera, petit salmon, cod and a burger. Prices vary and some include your choice of side dishes.

The YGC?s mission is to improve the lives of children in Scott County by providing them a voice through philanthropy. The group of 22 students learn about fundraising, leadership, team-building, community service and grantmaking. They have awarded over $22,000 to the community for youth-related projects over the years. The youth members are currently developing a curriculum to introduce philanthropy to fourth and fifth grade students at the local elementary schools. There is also a separate community service committee consisting of 11 youth from the community who complete service projects each month.
