Scott County Kiwanis Club board members Zach Manton, Ryan Payne, Jennifer Coward and Scott Zellers present a check for $2,400 to United Way of Scott County board member Cheryl Dunn, second from left. The grant was awarded from the Kiwanis Club of Scott County Fund at the Community Foundation and will be used to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library as well as United Way’s mission of investing in children and youth, promoting health and independence, and helping families in crisis. There are currently 853 children receiving free books through the Imagination Library, and 2,585 who “graduated” when they turned five. Any children from birth until age five can register for the books at www.imaginationlibrary.com.
